Powerhouse (across Units 3-6), Multnomah County, Oregon. The contractor
shall manufacture and install a Surface Collector Prototype, which is
a steel structure attached to the upstream pier noses (extends 20 feet
upstream of the pier nose and extends from the forebay deck down to
elevation 25) which will be used for testing fish response to surface
flow. Includes: fabrication, delivery and installation of pier Module
Supports, Modules, A, B and C, Module Floors, Removable Face Plates on
A and C modules (first 32 each and 24 thereafter priced); Modify and
install 2nd Powerhouse Fish Unit Trash Rake at First Powerhouse. The
following bid items are OPTIONAL: Remove, modify and transport 2nd
Powerhouse Fish Unit Trash Rake; Fabricate and Deliver Ice Trash
Channel, Install Ice Trash Channel, Modify Floor Elevation of One Unit,
Remove or Install Removable Face Plates and Fuse Gate Panels, Remove
Removable Face Plates and Fuse Gate Panels for Off Season Configuration
(First 32, and 38 thereafter priced), Remove all Module floors for
Off-Season Configuration, Emergency Module Removal Across One Unit,
Skilled welder/Machinist (50 hours/plus 25 extra), Skilled Electrician
(50 hours/plus 25 extra), Rotate and Secure Fuse Gate Panels for
Off-Season Configuration (16 each, total optional 32). This job allows
455 days for completion, with in water work periods and fishway outage

and $10,000,000. IFB will be available on or about May 5, 1997 at a
cost of $53.00 per set. Tentative bid opening is June 5, 1997. This
project is open to both large and small business concerns under the
Small Business competitiveness Demonstrative Program. The size standard
for which is a concern including all affiliates, with average annual
sales or receipts for the preceding three years not in excess of $17
