Jeanne M. Stevens, jmstevens@mail.arc.nasa.gov. NASA/ARC is hereby
soliciting information for potential sources of high resolution aerial
camera film in color, black and white, and infrared; color chemistry;
and color compensation filters. Duplicating stock with the same
characteristics of the high resolution camera film is also required.
The following sizes are required: a) 9.5 inch high resolution aerial
camera film by 400 feet, 600 feet, and 1,000 feet. Duplication film --
9.5 inch by 600 feet and/or 700 feet. b) 5 inch high resolution aerial
camera film by 5,000 feet and 5 inch by 6,500 feet to be set up on Iris
spools. Duplication film -- 5 inch by 500 feet and/or 700 feet. Ability
to provide all color chemistry required to process above film. Ability
to provide varying sizes and types of color compensation filters. The
high resolution aerial camera films shall have a resolution of about
40 l/mm for color; 30 l/mm for color infrared and 100 l/mm for black
and white. The offeror shall have an established ability to supply
5,000 feet of black and white, 10,000 feet of color, and 20,000 feet of
color infrared in varying lots per year. Vendors having the
capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are
invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and
references. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a
commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined in
"Note A". This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and
is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the
Government pay for information solicited. No solicitation exists;
therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Respondents will
not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed
fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for
the requirement. Firms responding should indicate whether they are a
socially or economically disadvantaged business firm, an 8(a) firm, a
small business, and/or woman-owned business. The Government reserves
the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based on
responses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to NASA, Ames
Research Center, Attn: Jeanne Stevens, JAC: 241-1, Moffett Field, CA
