Jones, Contracting Officer, (937) 255-7143 The Directorate of R&D is contemplating a program to improve manufacturing process quality and capability to positively impact quality, cost, and schedule of weapon system programs. This action anticipates award of approximately 10 to 12 projects estimated to be 18 months or less duration. Each individual contract will be awarded on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302 to the company that owns the manufacturing process that has been identified by the government as requiring improvement.
