Air Force Mission Planning Systems Program Office is seeking sources for the planned acquisition of commercially-developed software for the production of Combat Mission Folders. The Air Force is interested in identifying those products which will meet minimum performance characteristics that would be compatible with military flight operations and can be evaluated for Air Force "Safety of Flight" certification. Interested parties should submit to the Contracting Officer any brochures, pamphlets, or other descriptive documentation which describe their companies and their candidate product(s) in terms of (at a minimum) operational characteristics, operating system requirements, ability (if any) to interface with existing mission planning systems or other products of similar nature, and architecture. Of particular interest is whether candidate products use standard mapping and imagery products distributed by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). If any candidate product is currently available forpurchase by the Government via General Services Administration or some other Government contract, please provide to this office information regarding such arrangements, including points of contact. Parties who wish to do so may also send information regarding pricing and licensing arrangements. Be advised, however, that any quotation received in response to this request is not an offer, and cannot be accepted by the Air Force to create a binding contract. In addition, any information received is to be used for planning purposes only, and does not imply that formal requests for proposals will be issued. Such action will be subject to separate announcements.
