Browne, (703) 416-8976. The following is a REQUST FOR COMMENT (RFC). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal. The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) anticipates the award of one (1) contract to provide for towing, storage, maintenance and disposal of seized/forfeited vehicles for the Southern District of California. The USMS will provide a building for the indoor storage and land for the outdoor storage with an auction area being located on/at the outdoor lot. The purpose of this RFC is to afford industry an opportunity to view the proposed statement of work and comment on any perceived issues. Any comments provided should not be viewed as a vehicle for presenting a specific approach or product intended to be proposed but as an opportunity to improve the eventual solicitation package. The USMS is considering issuing a Firm Fixed Unit Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity "Performance Based" type contract with incentives. Replies will be separated from, and have no bearing on, subsequent evaluation of proposals. The Government will not critique a potential offeror's comments and the RFC should not be used by offerors to market their products/services. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of the RFC. Proprietary information is not being solicited.
