The project consists of an upgrade to the Primary Electrical Distribution System at the NDANG. The base currently has two (2) electrical power delivery points; a 23.9kv feed at the north end of the base and a 4160v feed at the south end of the base. This project will eliminate the 4160v feed and tie all base facilities into a 23.9v power distribution loop. The scope of work is base wide and includes demolition of portions of the existing system and installation of new 25 kv class cable, transformers, fused oil switches, and appurtenant items. This project affects every base facility and will require coordination with all base functional areas during construction. The performance period for the project is 545 days. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Tentative dates for issuing the solicitation is May 2, 1997 and bid opening is June 5, 1997. There will be a fee of $10.00 for each set of plans requested. Please make your checks payable to the U.S. Treasury.
