To remove and replace the existing smoke/fire alarm systems in four elementary schools, located on the McGuire AFB, Wrightstown, New Jersey, with Honeywell Intelliguard integrated smoke/alarm system. The schools' size ranges from 34,000 sq. ft. to 41,000 sq. ft. with an average of 37,400 sq. ft. Remove the existing 12" x 12" ceiling tile system in the Hallways only and replace it with a 2' x 4' acoustical ceiling system. Remove and reinstall the existing fluorescent lighting fixtures in the Hallways only. The hallways range from 2,500 sq. ft. to 4,500 sq. ft. with an average of 3,600 sq. ft. per school. The estimated bid opening date is May 21, 1997. The work will commence by June 1, 1997 and completion no later than August 30, 1997. The dates as stated are estimated and will be finalized in the IFB. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This procurement will be issued as a small business set-aside under the small business demonstration program. The SIC code is 1731. Award of this contract is subject to availability of funds.
