Z -- REMOVE/REPLACE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS SOL F31610-97-B0006 DUE 060297 POC Judi Pletcher, Contract Specialist, 919-736-6547, ext 255 This solicitation will be issued on an unrestrictive basis in accordance with DOD FAR CLAUSE 252.219-7008. Replies are requested from all concerns as well as from large business concerns. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000. and $250,000. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Complete removal of three (3) underground fuel tanks and associated underground piping; disposal of removed tanks, piping and product; manholes, and testing for contaminated soil. Filling of one (1) underground fuel tank and removal of associated underground piping; disposal of piping and product, and contaminated soil. Repair of site conditions after testing and remediation to include grading, compaction, reseeding, and paving. Provide temporary diesel fuel service for one (1) active generator site during removal of existing tank and installation of new tank. Installation of one (1) new above ground fuel tank and associated secondary containment piping system. Applying waterproof treatment, resealing penetrations, and replacing manway cover for one (1) underground tank concrete vault. Regrading and seeding of surrounding site. Contaminated soil shall be removed and disposed of off base by the Contractor. Contaminated soil removal and clean fill shall be paid on an estimated quantity basis. Asphalt and concrete removal/replacement and concrete sawcutting shall be paid on an estimated quantity basis. Work will be accomplished on Seymour Johnson AFB NC. Solicitation will be available on or about 01 May 97. The performance period is approximately 180 calendar days.
