This proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns, under SIC code 2741, with a size standard of fewer than 500 employees. The purpose of this solicitation is the preparation of a report embodying the most recent information and research findings on the health consequences and benefits associated with alcoholic beverage use, inclusive of behavioral and biomedical etiology, treatment, and the mental, physical, social, and economic consequences of alcohol abuse and alcoholism. The report is designed for dissemination to Congress and States, units of local government, community organizations, and private groups and individuals. A two year cost plus fixed fee contract is contemplated. Requests for solicitation documents must be made in writing -- no telephone requests will be honored. A charge of $8.00 is required to obtain a copy of this solicitation. Payment of the $8.00 must be made by Postal Money Order, Certified Check or Cashier's Check made payable to the Treasury of the United States. Personal and company issued checks are not acceptable. This charge is non-refundable and is authorized under Federal Acquisition Regulation section 5.201(a)(6) to cover reproduction costs of this solicitation.
