(908) 323- 2818. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is
seeking sources and/or information on ISO container transport equipment
(dolly sets, mobilizers, wheel kits, running gear, trailers, etc.). The
desired equipment will be used for transporting and complexing Mobile
Facilities (MFs) which resemble standard 8 ft x 8 ft x 20 ft ISO
containers and weigh up to 20,000 pounds. Ideally, the equipment should
support a MF at a minimum of 18 inches above ground level utilizing ISO
1161 corner fittings and or the three longitudinal skids on the MF
underside; allow short distance transport over soft unimproved terrain;
allow complexing (end to end, end to side, side to side) and allow
towing/steering in the forward and reverse directions. The equipment
should utilize a drawbar having a lunette eye conforming to MS51336 and
must have a parking brake. Interested sources with this information may
respond with a statement of general interest, capability, and/or
information by 7 May 1997. This is not a Request for Proposal. No
solicitation package is available. Respondents to this Request for
Information are invited to submit information and a description of any
currently available equipment which meets our requirements. The
Government will not pay for any information received in response to
this RFI, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any
costs incurred in developing the information provided to the
