(410) 965-9513 The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue
a noncompetitive solicitation to the Florida Administration of Vital
Statistics for the conversion of hardcopy birth record information for
all births to an electronic media for the period of January 1, 1930
through December 31, 1959. The period of performance shall be 1
calendar year from the effective date of the contract award. It is
SSA's belief that the Florida Administration of Vital Statistics is the
only source capable of performing this conversion. It is anticipated
that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about June 15,
1997 with the proposal due 45 calendar days later. Any party interested
in receiving a copy of this solicitation must request in writing only
a copy of referenced solicitation number SSA-RFP-97-3026 as
expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without
further notice. No telephone requests will be honored. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
The solicitation will be available by download in electronic form on
the SSA Acquisition Data and Information Exchange (SADIE) Bulletin
