The U.S. Public Health Service's Office on Women's Health within the Department of Health and Human Services, has a requirement for interested academic health centers to develop and evaluate innovative comprehensive national model program(s) in women's health. The program shall consist of several components, including a multi-disciplinary research program on women's health linking medical specialty areas across the academic health center, innovative public and health professional education programs and clinical services linking the academic health center to community services. Funds are to be used to coordinate and leverage resources to accomplish program goals. Awards shall be made utilizing full and open competition. Multiple awards of up to six (6) contracts shall be made with an effective date of September 30, 1997, and a two (2) year period of performance.
