Project includes: construction survey & staking; construction scheduling; contractor sampling & testing; design of alternate retaing walls; 600 ton minor asphalt concrete; 1.3 acre clearing & grubbing; 957 cuyd class A(AE) structural concrete; 900 cuyd gov't provided untreated aggregate course; 80 lnft culvert; 150 lnft perf pipe; 144 lnft drilled shafts; 300 lnft silt fence; 50,000 cuyd excavation & embankment; 280 cuyd structure excavation; 275 lnft guardrail; 611 lnft steel bridge railing; 49,400 lbs reinforcing steel; 262,900 lbs epoxy coated reinforcing steel; 2,800 sqft alternate retaining walls; remove/salvage 204 lnft culvert; remove/stockpile 360 lnft concrete barrier; remove 250 lnft guardrail; 2,775 lnft pavement markings; 8 slry units seeding/mulching; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 35 miles east of Woodland, Washington. Estimated price range is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. Presolicitation Notices are being provided to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. -- -- The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
