The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to award a sole-sources Fixed Priced Contract to Raytheon Company, 1001 Old Post Rd., Marlborough, MA 01752. This contract will procure up to 123 Medium Data Rate (MDR) upgrades to AN/USC-38(V) Navy Extremely High Frequency (EHF) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Program (NESP) terminals installed aboard various classes of aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, fast frigates, amphibious ships, flag ships, mine command ships, and fixed shore sites. In addition, this fixed priced contract will procure MDR upgrade spares, support and logistics documentation, technical data, and engineering services for integration of the MDR upgrades int AN/USC-38(V)s. The contract will provde for a base year (FY98) and two one year options (FY99/00)for MDR upgrade production. This contract also includes time and material options for engineering services in support of retrofit and integration of MDR upgrdades into the AN/USC-38(V) terminals. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3669. Each offer will need a SECRET clearance for pre-award. Each offeror must possess a SECRET facility clearance at time of award.
