Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requires the following
items for use in an anechoic chamber. Quantity of 1100 RF microwave
fire-retarded absorbers measuring 24" x 24". Absorber height shall be
12.5" overall with a 2.25" base and 10" pyramid. There shall be 36
pyramids per absorber. Maximum reflection at normal incidence: Ku band
50db, X band 50db, C band 45db, S band 40db, and L band 35db. Quantity
of 60 gallons of specialized glue for the absorbers. Extra
high-performance walkway made with material compatible with anechoic
chamber reflection requirements, yet provide a walking surface for
personnel and be able to support 200 pounds per square foot. Quantity
of 125 absorber blocks shall be constructed of semi-rigid polyvinyl
chloride foam adhered to the top to provide a surface imperious to
water and dirt. Outer dimensions are 24" x 24" x 11". Inside of block
shall have 8.5" thickness. Delivery is required six weeks after
contract award, FOB destination. It is not the intent of the Government
to issue a separate solicitation for this requirement. Interested
sources proposing to supply these items must submit a written
qualification statement by fax, clearly establishing capability to meet
the above requirements within 15 days of this synopsis. Faxed responses
are acceptable and should be sent to 303-497-3163. Responses are
required by April 30, 1997. No separate solicitation will be issued.
