The objective of this procurement is to research, develop, and implement a prototype computerized technology for generating many versions of multiple choice applied math and electronics knowledge and skill items from a single item stem. That is, specific aspects of a seed item would be systematically manipulated by software rules to generate new, parallel items, such that the new items are of comparable difficulty for a given target examinee population. The prototype variable item generator will be integrated with the Airway Facilities Basic Electronics Screening Tool (BEST). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8732.
