COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 22,1997 PSA#1829

AIR FORCE RFP/SOURCE SELECTION STREAMLINING WORKSHOP The Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association, with the assistance of the New England Chapter of the National Security Industrial Association, and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (SAF/AQ), will co-sponsor a two and a half day Workshop for industry on the new Air Force Acquisition Process. This Workshop is being presented in response to requests by top industry leaders across the country for specific information on all aspects of the new acquisition procedures. Personnel from the AFMC/AQ Centralized RFP Support Team will carry the participants from the creation of a risk matrix, through a Statement of Objectives, Sections L and M of the RFP, and Source Selection Standards. The Workshop will culminate with a source selection exercise. A primary objective of the Workshop is to prepare attendees to further train their company personnel. This is a "hands-on" Workshop for key industry training personnel, proposal writer capture team members and any others who will be actively involved in the preparation of proposals responding to US Air Force RFPs. Space is very limited and only 150 participants can be registered, to facilitate small working group interaction. The Workshop will take place at the Sheraton Tara Hotel, Nashua, NH, on April 29, 30 and May 1. For more information contact AFA Chapter representatives Kathy Essigmann or Joan Parker at (617) 890-7650, Fax (617) 890-8886, or via Email: PRevereAFA@aol.com. Cost for the Workshop will be $200. The Workshop still has space for participants. The hotel may also have rooms still available, so contact the Sheraton Tara directly. To ensure appropriate industry coverage, similar Workshops are planned for the West Coast in June, and Midwest in July. Contact LtCol Stratton at (937)656-0829/0850, or "strattsj@wpgate1.wpafb.af.mil" for information on these two future Workshops.
