Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to provide labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies to remove and dispose of debris, debris reduction site operation and management, and provide other related services within the South Atlantic Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The geographic area will encompass the states of NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, and MS, as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This request is only for potential sources, not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is for INFORMATION ONLY and is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to obtain information on potential companies that have the capability, bonding capacity, experience, equipment, and other necessary resources necessary to respond to emergency requirements, particularily during the upcoming hurricane season (1 Jun 97 thru 30 Nov 97). The list of potential sources will be provided to Contracting Officers in the five (5) districts which comprise the South Atlantic Division -- Charleston, Wilmington, Savannah, Jacksonville, and Mobile. The purpose is to have a readily available list of contractors from which to solicit, on an emergency basis, offers in response to possible disasters during the upcoming hurricane season. Responses are required 14 days after publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, ATTN: CESAM-CT-S, Room 2003, 1 St. Louis Street, Mobile, AL 36652, and will be directed to Mr. Jimmy Smith, 334-441-5520. Firms interested in being considered shall provide a written statement of capability. The written statement of capability shall include necessary backup information and support documentation including equipment, personnel, and a list of projects or contracts in which this type work has been successfully completed. List shall include exact location of project and a point of contact with phone numbers. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. (0108)
