This construction project will convert approximately 16,000 sf of unfinished space in the basement of exisitng building 57 to functional space for clinical laboratory service functions. Work shall include installation of floor slab, interior partitions, finishes, casework, plumbing, HVAC (including chiller), electrical, fire protection and various laboratory specific equipment (walk-in refrigerator, fume hoods, bio-safety cabinets, etc.) according to contract drawings and specifications. There is NO asebestos abatement. The IFB will be issued on May 8, 1997. A pre-bid conference will be held on May 22, 1997, at 9 a.m (local time) in the Patio Conference Room (Bldg 4), at the Tucson VA Medical Center. The estimated cost range for this project is from $2,000,000 to $5,000,000 . Time of completion is 300 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed.
