OF EXISING POST OFFICE TO CREATE NEW POSTAL RETAIL STORE, WAIKIKI STATION, HONOLULU, HI SOL 052571-97-A-0044 DUE 052297 POC Grace Batesting (415)794-6336 or Tyrus Ishii (808)423-3873 The contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, materials, equipment, etc. to complete the renovation of pproximately 2,000 s.f. of an exiting post office to create a new lobby, customer service counters, postal store, and self-service (QuickPost). The work shall be phased to allow the post office to remain open to the public. The contractor shall coordinate and accommodate a separate vendor hired by the USPS (for removal of vinyl asbestos tile). In general, the work includes demolition, drywall partitions, millwork and cabinetry, exterior finish system (EFS), doors, storefront entrance, overhead coiling door, folding grille door, suspended ceiling, hard tile, resilient tile and base, carpet, painting, building specialties, plumbing and air conditioning, power and lighting, and CCTV system. Selected Postal equipment will be furnished by the USPS, and installed by the contractor. All work to be completed in accordance with the terms and specifications of this solicitation. There is a non-refundable charge of $25.00 for plans and specifications made payable to "USPS Disbursing Officer". The estimated cost range is $280,000 to $380,000. The Postal Service may reject any or all proposals, and may waive informalities and minor irregularities in proposals received.
