furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary
for and incidental to general construction work at various postal
facilities located within the Appalachian District, which includes the
following counties: Tennessee: Sullivan; Virginia: Amherst,
Appomattox, Bedford, Bland, Botetourt, Bristol, Buchanan, Campbell,
Carroll, Craig, Danville (City), Dickenson, Floyd, Fluvanna, Franklin,
Galas (City), Giles, Grayson, Halifax, Henry, Lee, Lynchburg (City),
Martinsville (City), Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Nelson, Norton (City),
Patrick, Pittsylvania, Pulaski, Radford (City), Roanoke, Roanoke
(City), Rockbridge, Russell, Salem (City), Scott, Smyth, South Boston,
Tazewell, Washington, Wise, and Wythe; West Virginia: Barbour,
Berkeley, Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Fayette,
Gilmer, Grant, Greenbrier, Hampshire, Hardy, Harrison, Jackson,
Jefferson, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Marion, Mason,
Mercer, Mineral, Mingo, Monongalia, Monroe, Morgan, Nicholas,
Pendleton, Pleasants, Pocahontas, Preston, Putnam, Raleigh, Randolph,
Ritchie, Roane, Summers, Taylor, Tucker, Tyler, Upshur, Wayne, Webster,
Wetzel, Wirt, Wood, and Wyoming. Contractors must have a minimum of two
years experience, as of the date of issuance, in this type of work, and
must be capable of working at least five to ten jobs at the same time.
Contractors must possess all required state and local licenses for
this type of work in the above-stated area(s). At the discretion of the
Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. The contract
will be for a two-year period. The total quantity of work ordered
during the term of this contract will not be less than $10,000 nor more
than $3,000,000. The initial contract value is $250,000 and the Postal
Service reserves the option to increase the potential value of the
contract in increments of $250,000, as deemed necessary by the
Contracting Officer, not to exceed $3,000,000. Specific work orders
will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the unit
price schedule and specifications. The maximum amount of any work order
is $250,000; the minimum amount is $500. Solicitation packages are
available at $45 per set, NON-REFUNDABLE. All checks/money orders must
