Z -- INSTALLATION OF FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM SOL F41652-97-B-0005 DUE 061297 POC SrA Grant Massey 915-696-3860, or Mr Ron McGuire 915-696-2679 Construct child care fire sprinkler system, buildings 7225, 7226, and 7227, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, Project Number FNWZ 97-0033. Project calls for construction of a new fire protection sprinkler system in existing (approximately 25,000 square feet) child care facility at Dyess Air Force Base, in Abilene, Texas. Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of a wet pipe sprinkler system complete with alarm valve, piping, sprinkler heads, and alarm panel interface. Also included is construction of a dry pipe system complete with alarm valve, piping, sprinkler heads, and alarm panel interface to protect a (approximately 4,000 square feet) attic space. Removal and replacement of selected acoustical suspended ceilings to accomodate new wet pipe sprinkler system is also included. Child care facility is to remain operational during construction. Strict phasing and sequencing of work is required and selected portions of work shall be performed after normal working hours. The estimated construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The estimated construction time is 180 calendar days. This procurement is unrestricted and open to both large and small businesses. All requests for this solicitation must be made in writing.
