COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 23,1997 PSA#1830Naval Research Laboratory, Code 3220, 4555 Overlook Ave. S.W.,
Washington, D.C. 20375-5326 66 -- MNR SPECTROMETER SOL N00014-97-R-AT03 POC Evangelina R. Toledo,
Contract Specialist, Code 3220.AT, Contracting Officer, Kevin King,
(202) 767-6540 The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement
for an NMR spectrometer to support ongoing research in the area of
Biomolecular materials and their characterization. A high field NMR
(400 MHz) is needed to elucidate molecular information (both structural
and organizational) on novel materials as well as their self-assembled
structures. The instruments will be used to characterize bio-derived
polymers by 1D and 2-D NMR techniques. Materials will also be probed
for other nuclei such as 15N, 31P, 19F, in addition to a frequently
used 1H, and 13C NMR spectral studies. However, research on novel
materials, and performance standards may sometime warrant use of other
nuclei ranging from 109Ag to 31P and therefore a tunable broad-band
probe will be utilized. Additional Information will be provided in the
solicitation. See Note 26. No telephone request for this requirement
will be accepted. Send requests for Solicitation N00014-97-R-AT03 to:
