70 -- ADPE, SUPPORT SERVICE, HARDWARE AND OFFICE SPACE TO SUPPORT AN ALTERNATE DISASTER RECOVERY SITE WITHIN A FIFTY MILE RADIUS OF NORTH CHICAGO, ILLINOIS SOL DAAA08-97-R-0513 DUE 071897 POC N/A (Site Code DAAA08) US Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) has a requirement to acquire disaster recovery (and mobilization) support services at an existing alternate permanent disaster recovery site, within a 50 mile radius of North Chicago, Illinois. At a minimum the site should contain an IBM 9672-RB4 or equivalent (or larger) mainframe computer capable of running a Multiple Virtual Storage/Enterprise System Architecture operating system without modification. In addition, a minimum of 80 telecommunication lines, with an Amdahl type 4745-210 (IBM compatible) or larger front-end processor, a minimum of 453 Gigabytes of IBM 3390 type Direct Access Storage Devices, and 2 IBM compatible 4248 type printers are required. The permanent installation of a Government owned Hydra II 32 port controller is also required. An environment controlled furnished office space of approximately 1,000 square feet is needed to support approximately 15 administrative personnel. The contractor shall provide the necessary facility, equipment, and related services, including advisory administrative and technical personnel to support (1) a scheduled 48 hour annual test, (2) actual disaster declaration within 12 hours notice and (3) and optional 96 hour scheduled mobilization test. The inital period of performance will be approximately 1 October 1997 to 30 September 1998. A fixed price option will be included tp provide for services beyond 30 Spetemer 1998 (four one year options). The standard industrial code is 7379. Approximate issue date is on or about 1 Jun 97.
