Federer, Contracting Officer, (404) 842-6789 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates award of a five year contract (including options) to provide the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) with an as-needed mechanism to obtain comprehensive laboratory support services relating to agency-sponsored health studies. Contractor must be capable of responding to short-turn-around times, dealing effectively with fluctuating workload, and managing on-site work requirements, which may be performed anywhere in the United States and its territories. Although the nature, scope and complexity of specific work requirements will vary from project to project, contractor activities would typically include specimen collection, preparation, storage, shipment, transportation, analysis, quality control, quality assurance; and, furnishing comprehensive and traceable data results to the ATSDR for further testing and analysis of data, as may be appropriate. This contract will be used by the ATSDR to ensure that a broad spectrumof laboratory services and support are available, as necessary to facilitate the successful conduct of on-going health studies. Written requests for copies of the solicitation will be honored if received within 15 days of the RFP issue date, which will be on or about May 23, 1997. Requests received after that date will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. The date specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 45 days after the RFP issue date. Requests for copies of the RFP must cite the RFP Number: 200-97-0601(P).
