Nevitt/Pkwrb/ [937]257-5666 CREW STATION EVALUATION FACILITY CONTRACT EXTENSION: ASC/PKWRB intends to negotiate a contract modification on a sole source basis with Hughes Training Inc for a seven month extension to Contract F33657-91-C-2067 for the operation and maintenance of the Crew Station Evaluation Facility (CSEF). A seven month extension is required to allow a competitive procurement to be awarded in March 1998. A draft RFP is scheduled to be released on or about 11 Jun 97 for the follow-on competitive award. The contractor will be required to continue to operate and maintain the CSEF which is a human engineering design tool used to quantitatively assess human performance as a function of crew station configuration and the operational mission. Contract requirements include providing the appropriate skilled manpower and technical support on site to support the operation, maintenance, modification, computer support and programming, documentation and updates, system checkout, and equipment calibration to facilitate a rapid response to the design problems and experimental solutions proposed by various Aeronautical Systems Center System Program Offices. Hughes Training Inc has provided the above requirements and are the only known source available to the Government to continue performing the contract during the proposed modification period of 11 Sep 97 to 30 Mar 98. Respondents having the capability to furnish the required services stated above must submit written notification and supporting documentation to demonstrate the ability to satisfy the requirements within 15 days after publication of this announcement.
