West, 907/753-2551/Contracti= ng Officer, Corps of Engineers Under the authority of FAR 6.302, the Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to specify proprietary and/or sole source equipment and systems for the Telephone System and Satellite Master Antennae Television (SMATV) in conjunction with the communications contract for the Composite Medical Facility on Elemendorf AFB, Alaska. The system must be compatibl= e with the host switch, which is a Northern Telecommunications Model MSL-10= 0. The SMATV system si configured with a specific array of features and capabilities, which is tailored around the Allen Technologies, Inc. (ATNE= T) product line. The ATI ATNET product line is the only known system that h= as an automatic delivery of interactive, on-demand multimedia services via a data network that uses low cost computer industry standard networking architecture integrated into the required 9=94 patient television sets. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond= to the requirement in the form of a letter. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all submittals received with= 45 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the system requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
