The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake(NAWCWPNS), CA intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to RC Electronics, Inc., 6464 Hollester Ave., Santa Barbara, CA for an Instrumentation Amplifier System. The Instrumentation Amplifier System (CLIN 001) consists of 124 Amplifiers, Dynamics Part No. 7600A-1-2-1-1-0-3-1, with a includes custom 6 pole bessel filter. Sixty-Two (62) of the amplifiers will have frequencies of 1Hz, 100Hz, 500Hz, 2KHz, 10 KHz, and wideband(100KHz). The other 62 Amplifiers will have frequencies of 1Hz, 10Hz, 200Hz, 1KHz, 5 KHz, and wideband (100KHz). The system shall also consist of a 10 Channel Rack Housings, 12 each, Dynamics Part No. 7914AR/VX-2, and Rack Housing Mating Connectors, 12 each Dynamics Part No. 08660, for all electrical interfaces with the rack housings. This procurement is restricted to sole source and will be negotiated with RC Electronics because they are the only company that can supply amplifiers which have all the following critical Government features: (1) Two, filtered, +/-10 Volt, amplifier outputs, one 100 ma and one with 5 ma drive capability; (2) Front panel, 6 position switch selectable, 6 pole bessel filters and frequencies of 1Hz, 100Hz, 500Hz, 2KHz, 10 KHz and 100 Khz for 62 of the amplifiers and 1 Hz, 10 Hz, 200 Hz and 1 KHz 5 KHz and 100 KHz on the other 62 amplifiers; (3) Front panel monitor points for amplifier input, both amplifier outputs and excitation voltage; (4) Front panel potentiometers to adjust variable gain, input offset, manual balance, excitation, and both outputs' zero and level; (5) Front panel switches for filter selection, calibration gain value, gain cal/uncal, input disconnect, autobalance on/off and excitation on/off; (6) Front panel lamp indicators for balance indication, input disconnect, excitation off and autobalance active; (7) Plug-in card bridge completion with isolated 30 volt excitation at 100 ma and automatic bridge balance with resolution of one part in 250,000; and (8) True +/- 50 volt common mode voltage range not employing input division. Delivery will be F.O.B., Destination to NAWCWPNS, China Lake, CA within 6 months from the effective date of Contract Award. This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
