This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to enter a sole source agreement with W.L. Gore and Associates, Inc. Medical Products Divisiion, 4747 E. Beautiful Lane, Bldg. III, Phoenix, AZ 85044, for Goretex Vascular Grafts. Solicitation #678-27-97 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). Estimated annual usage is 69 Vascular Grafts. The contract is for base year and four option years. Required delivery schedule is 30 days from date of contract award. Items will be delivered to VAMC Tucson, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. Provision 52-212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and any addenda to the provision. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: a) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and b) price. A completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items are to be included in your submission. Clause 52.212.-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition in addition to the following FAR clauses a) 52.203-10, Price or Fee Adjustment for Illegal or Improper; b) 52.225-3, Buy American Act -- Supplies; and c) 52-232-8, Discounts for Prompt Payment. The Government reserves the right to use a Purchase Card to pay for items acquired from this solicitation.
