The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division Patuxent River announces its intention to issue a sole source contract to Sony Electronics, Inc., for the purchase of the following equipment: CLIN 0001- Sony DIR-1000, ID-t Digital Instrumentation Recorder (Qty -- 1 Each); and CLIN 0002- Sony DMS-24 Digital Mass Storage System (Qty -- 1 Each). Sony is the only company that has a non-fraternal reproducing system compatible with already Approved and Certified 19MM D-1 magnetic recording tape utilized for replay, processing, and duplication of critical government data.
