Faith L. Ferris, 301-227-3602 Submarine and submersible hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) Technologies which contribute to a more effective, efficient, and affordable fleet. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), as manager for the Navy Submarine Technology Area Exploratory Development Program, intends to solicit only one source, Noesis, Inc., Manassas, VA, to expand the scope of effort, within the originally negotiated period of performance, for the Integrated Multi-discipline Analysis Capability (IMAC). IMAC, a proprietary capability approach invented by Noesis, Inc., supports performance of medium to high risk/high payoff concept exploration, analysis, development and demonstration of innovative and revolutionary new concepts and advanced technologies, primarily in the HM&E areas, which will reduce the ownership costs and/or enhance thw war fighting capabilities of Navy submarines and submersibles that might be constructed early in the twenty-first century. Award will be placed as a modificationto Contract No. N00167-95-D-0128. The anticipated period of performance is 1 June 1997 through FY2000. This action will be processed on a sole source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) and 10 USC 2304(c)(1). See numbered Note 22. (0111)
