The United States Marine Corps Commandant's Warfighting Laboratory (CWL) is issuing a Broad Ageny Annoucement for research and development concepts addressing areas relating to fires, targeting, and engagement coordination that can be used to increase the battlefield situation awareness and degree of engagement effectiveness in an urban environment. Concepts include capability to provide precise discriminate target acquisition, rapid coordination of engagements, precise delivery of fires, and accurate damage assessment. R&D proposals addressing these areas from a variety of perspectives are of interest, for example; exploration of new concepts, techniques in modeling and simulation for scenario evaluation, hardware development, feasibility analysis, systemintegration, performance-based return on investment analysis, as well as proof of principle and concept demonstrations. Appropriate proposed systems may be selected for transition to a Marine Expeditionary Unit for operational experimentation.
