Crawford, 703/640-5822 X 248 The United States Marine Corps Commandant's Warfighting Laboratory (CWL) is issuing a Broad Agency Announcement for research and development (R&D) concepts addressing areas relating to non-lethal warfighting capabilities that can be used to increase combat effectiveness and situation awareness, especially in an urban environment. Desired concepts are those which manifest the capabilities which would allow the commander to influence or control individuals, crowds, masses of population and vehicles in the total spectrum from totally lethal to less than lethal. R&D proposals addressing these areas from a variety of perspectives are of interest, for example; exploration of new concepts, techniques in modeling and simulation for scenario evaluation, hardware development, feasibility analysis, system integration, performance-based return on investment analysis, as well as proof of principle and concept demonstratios. Appropriate proposed systems may transition to a Marine force for operational experimentation.
