The Government intends to extend the current contract with Colorado Foundation for Medical Care for two months from 01 Oct 97 to 30 Nov 97. The contract is for Medical/Surgical Peer Review Services by physicians to ascertain the medical necessity, quality of care, appropriateness of treatment and level of care. Internal and external case reviews are required, along with OCHAMPUS medical policy reviews, information systems, technical assistance and Peer reviews appearing as witnesses at OCHAMPUS hearings. The Government intends to extend the current contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested vendors that are capable of providing the required service are invited to submit in writing information explaining their ability to meet this requirement. All responsible sources will be considered. No solicitation is available. Responses must be in writing and refer to MDA906-91-D-0001, Attn: Darlene M. Otte. If no affirmative responses are received within 45 days from the date this synopsis is published, the Contracting Officer will proceed to issue the contract extension. See Note 22. (0112)
