Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY 12208 is seeking qualified architect-engineer firms to provide technical services for the design and development of plans and specifications for Project 97-106 Renovate Telephone/Data system. The proposed project work scope involves the installation of government-furnished telephone and data equipment into the Stratton VA Medical Center Complex, consisting of approximately 1,000,000 square feet of interior space. Interested firms must have the capability to provide multiple professional disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and industrial hygienist services, in order to successfully complete the design and development of the Project. The A/E Contract will be awarded in two (2) successive phases. Phase I shall consist of a site survey to verify and update existing As-Built Drawings, a conceptual design, a clearly defined work scope and a detailed construction cost estimate. Phase II shall consist of actual design and development of contract drawings and specifications and various construction period services. The following evaluation criteria will be used by the VA A/E Evaluation Board Team during the A/E selection process: (1) Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required; (2) Capacity to perform the work within required time frames; (3) Past performance; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of the personnel assigned to the proposed Project Design Team; (5) Geographic location of the firm's working office(s) in relation to the renovation site; and, (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recivered materials, and using waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design.
