AIR FORCE STRATEGIC PLANNING INDUSTRY DAY The Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force, as well as the Office for Strategic Planning (HQ USAF/XPX), in conjunction with the American Defense Preparedness Association/National Security Industrial Association (ADPA/NSIA), present an unclassified symposium unveiling the Air Force's latest decisions and actions to take it into the 1st Quarter of the next century. The objective of the symposium is to stir essential dialogue on the courses which the Air Force has embarked, and set the stage for subsequent industry/Air Force innovative, long-range planning partnerships. In addition to opening remarks by Secretary of the Air Force Sheila Widnall and luncheon presentation by Chief of Staff of the Air Force General Ronald Fogleman, participants will get insight into the Air Force's steps to fully integrate its planning and programming activities, status of the new Air Force battlelabs, and notable impacts of the new Air Force Long-Range Plan on its Mission Area and Support Plans. An unclassified version of the Air Force Long-Range Plan will be distributed. The first Air Force Strategic Planning Symposium will be held 20 May 1997 at the Crystal City Sheraton, Arlington, VA.
