70 -- SOLICITATION GENERATION AND REGULATION RESEARCH SOFTWARE DUE 050997 POC Andrew Klimas Tel: 410-965-9493 The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking sources who can provide a commercial, off-the-shelf software package principally designed for the generation of Federal Government solicitation and contract documents that has the following capabilities. The package must run on Netware or Windows NT, with either a Windows 3.1 or Windows NT client. The package must integrate with multiple word processors, including Microsoft Word (6.0 and 7) and Word Perfect (6.1), generating files in those formats. The word processor interfaces must be upgraded as wordprocessors are upgraded. Clause fill-in functionality must be available as a part of the package, and the fill-ins must be storable in the pre-wordprocessing phase of solicitation/contract generation. The package must generate a table of contents in the word processing document for the solicitation/contract. In addition, the package must provide a full-text search capability to search the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and FAR supplements. The contractor must issue updates to the package's FAR database on a biweekly basis. In addition, the package must provide for the creation of and searching of agency-specific sets of regulations. Interested firms able to provide the required software package and services are invited to submit information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to provide the required capabilities. Cross-reference to previously submitted material is discouraged. No cost or pricing data is required or requested. This is not a request for proposals (RFP) and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of data received, but sources deemed qualified will be solicited if requests for proposals are issued.
