Switzer (816) 426-2641 Contracting Officer The Federal Aviation Administration, Central Region, intends to award an indefinite delivery contract for Architect-Engineering Services to be effective by May 19, 1998. The services to be provided are associated with identification and management of asbestos and other hazardous substances. Examples of the required services include air monitoring on asbestos abatement projects, monitoring asbestos removal, laboratory testing and analysis, and geotechnical services. Examples of assignnment are: 1. Providing hazardous material assessment and environmental audits of FAA properties. 2. Conducting site contamination assessments. 3. Providing risk assessment and/or remedial design. 4. Providing asbestos evaluations, designs and monitoring of abatement contracts. 5. Providing geotechnical services for design and/or construction of various FAA facilities. 6. Providing investigation and remediation services at sites identified as having contamination problems. The services will be provided for FAA facilities located in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska. The contract to be awarded will be for one base year time period with four additional one year option periods. The contract will not exceed $500,000 in any single year and orders may be substantially less than $500,000 in any single year.
