The Justice Management Division, Office of Debt Collection Management (DCM) is tasked with (among other things) keeping accurate, reliable data on the number and dollar value of debts referred to DOJ for litigation by other Federal agencies. Debts referred to DOJ by Federal agencies for litigation are channeled through the Nationwide Central Intake Facility (NCIF). This procurement will provide the DOJ and other entities with access to a fully automated debt collection/litigation support system and also includes furnishing corollary support services to train users, implement enhancements to the system, and operate the NCIF claims/financial processing functions. The proposed contract will cover an eight (8) year period of performance, including options. Additional information regarding this procurement, including a draft Request for Proposal (RFP) document, is currently available on the Department's Internet Acquisition Home Page, Business Opportunities directory. The Internet address is shown below. Planned issue date for the final RFP is on or about 5/19/97. In the interest of keeping reproduction and mailing costs to a minimum, the Department requests that all interested parties review the documents on the Internet before requesting a copy of the RFP.
