D -- PROVISIONING AND MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING LOW-SPEED DATA CIRCUITS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT DUE 052397 POC Darlene Fry, 618-256-9494 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue Communication Service Authorizations to General Telephone (GTE) Inc. for the continued provision and maintenance of existing low-speed Automatic Digital Network (AUTODIN) data circuits and the associated line termination equipment within the continental United States. The AUTODIN system provides the capability for the Department of Defense to send, route, receive, store, and retrieve all official message traffic. The Government does not own the technical documentation which pertains to the required circuit interface specifications. It is the intent of the Government to continue to lease the required connectivity and equipment from GTE Inc. via Communication Service Authorizations issued against the Basic Agreement.
