Souto, Contracting Officer, 717-770-6206 This agency intends to award a sole source purchase order to ComputerWise of Olathe, KS for 70 each replacement TransTerm 5 Terminals (Model TT5) for the data collection system located at the Defense Distribution Depot Susquehanna (DDSP) in New Cumberland, PA in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(a)(4). Options required include: 70 each TNET (RS-422) Interface, 70 each Barcode Interface, 70 each Industrial Beeper, and 70 each Custom firmware (special ROM chip). Equipment must be compatible with the existing DEC and Broadband without causing additional programming changes. The TransTerm Terminal contains custom copyrighted firmware which was specifically designed by ComputerWise to interface with the existing software systems installed in the Eastern Distribution Center at DDSP. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. No formal solicitation document exists. However, all information received within fifteen (15) days after publication of this synopsis (May 9, 1997) will be considered by this agency. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
