Diane Alcott, Contract Officer This announcement is amendment 02 to solicitation NMA201-97-R-1007 which was published 8 April 1997 and amended 22 April 1997. Amendment 02 is required to answer technical questions concerning the original equipment requirements. The synopsis/solicitation remains for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart Far 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The following is a list of questions/answers that were asked by multiple offerors: Question on CLIN 0002: Which Micropolis 9GB hard disk drive do you want? Model Number 3391 comes in several styles. Answer: Model 3391NS, narrow single-ended. Question on CLIN 0003: The Yamaha CDR-100 is no longer in production can it be replaced with CDR-200? Answer: No. The Yamaha CDR-200 is not comopatible with the GEAR software currently in use. We will accept refurbished CDR-100s. Question on CLIN 0005: What is the part number and specifications of the Lockheed-Sanders cooling fan assemblies? Answer: The fan is called an Air Plenum Assembly, Part Number 4102740. No further specificaitons are available. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical acceptability of brand name and price. Award will be made to the technical acceptable offer of the the brand name whose price is lowest.
