Administration(FHWA)has a need to develop improved Traffic Control
Devices(TCD's)which are better understood and complied with by road
users. The extent to which vehicle drivers comply with TCD's including
but not limited to signs,signals and road pavement markings, would be
determined, along with enhancements that can be made to improve
general roadway safety through better compliance with advisory warning
signs. Regional differences in compliance with all TCD's would be
evaluated to ultimately provide guidelines and recommendations for the
promotion of better compliance among all users and regions within the
United States.Data for Interactive Highway Safety Design Model (IHSDM)
