The aircraft must have a door with an inner opening of at least 32" in width to permit easy loading and unloading of containers. Maximum container measurements are 42"L x 26.5"W x 23"H. Aircraft must contain sufficient space to allow storage of the containers without jamming or damaging the contents. Aircraft must have a removable roller system for cargo unloading. One solicitation will be issued with separate awards being made for two routes. The following lists the routes, maximum weight of cargo and couriers, and the number of containers to be carried: (1)Colorado Springs Intl Airport CO, 2,500 pounds and 6 to 8 containers, (2) Offutt AFB NB, 2,500 pounds and 6 to 8 containers. The period of performance is 1 October, 1997 through 30 September, 1998, with one option period and a six-month extension clause. Solicitation F11626-97-R0024 will close on or about 28 May 1997.
