The U.S. Department of State, Office of Foreign Buildings Operations (FBO) is seeking to pre-qualify offerors for renovation of the U.S. Foreign Commercial Services (FCS) Trade Center in Mexico City. The facility is located on Calle de Liverpool in the Zona Rosa area of downtown Mexico City, and the portion to be renovated measures approximately 20,000 square feet. The renovation will include structural and seismic upgrading, mechanical/HVAC and electrical systems, interior space renovations including interior finishes, and fire/detection system renovations. The facility will be occupied and in full use during renovation, and consequently, construction phasing is a critical element of this project. The estimated value of the construction services is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation is planned for release in approximately mid-July, 1997. The performance period from contract award to project completion is estimated at 12 months beginning in October 1997.
