The project consists of the relocation of US Route 58 within the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Virginia. The project starts at the Tennessee/Virginia border and proceeds eastward for 1.72 miles, ending at a project currently being constructed on US Route 58 by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The project includes grading, drainage, aggregate base, hot asphalt concrete pavement, and other associated work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway Excavation: 350,000 CUYD; Aggregate Base (Bed Course): 13,000 TON; Structural Concrete, Class A: 400 CUYD; Class A Masonry: 31 CUYD; 24 to 36 inch pipe culverts: 2800 LNFT.
