NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Offers for THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED UNDER THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF PROVIDING THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS TO REMOVE TWELVE(12) DIRECT EXPANSION(DX) ROOFTOP AIR HANDLING SYSTEMS AND REPLACE WITH TWELVE (12) CHILLED WATER AIR HANDLING UNITS(AHU). THE WORK INCLUDES EXTENSION OF EXISTING CHILLED WATER SYSTEM PIPING INTO THE BUILDING, AIR-BALANCING OF EXISTING AIR DISTRIBUTION DEVICES, AIR BALANCING OF TOTAL SUPPLY AIR, RETURN AIR AND OUTSIDE AIR OF ALL AHU'S, AIR BALANCING OF TOTAL SUPPLY AIR AND RETURN AIR OF A NEW FAN COIL UNIT(FCU), HYDRONIC-BALANCING OF NEW AHU, PUMP AND FCU EQUIPMENT, PIPING SYSTEMS PRESSURE TESTS, AND INSTALLATION OF PUMPS, PIPING, ELECTRICAL POWER AND CONTROLS TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM.. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $1,000,000.00 -- $5,000,000.00 and the effort shall becompleted within 500 calendar days after notice to proceed. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1711. The corresponding size standard is $7.0. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about May 2,1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about May 19, 1997. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the identified point of contact. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B".
