628-4663 This is a solicitation for commercial materials prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in the notice. Proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will be issued upon request. This
is a request for quotation (RFQ) number DTCG80-97-Q-3FA849. This
solicitation document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. The standard
industrial classification code is 3679 and the size standard is 500
employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to design,
manufacture, and install three (3) new automatic propulsion
controllers that are replacements for the existing Silverstats (Model
SRD3) for USCGC MACKINAW (WAGB-83). The new controllers must be
manufactured and ready for installation no later than 1 September
1997.The government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the
solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and
other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to
evaluate offer: Price, Required Delivery Date. The following FAR
Clauses will apply to this solicitation: 52.219-6 Notice of Total Small
