The solicitation should be issued on or about 30 May 1997 with a 30 day closing period. This requirement provides for maintenance and repair services (including service calls, uncrating and prep of new appliances, change-outs, delivery and pick-ups) for household appliances such as: Refrigerators, Dishwashers (built-in), Ranges, Washers, Dryers, at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe Bay, HI, and those locations on the island of Oahu under control of MCBH. A requirements type contract is anticipated with the contract performance period to be 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with two (2) 12-month option periods. The Government intends to include the clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, in the solicitation. Seen Note 1.
