This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii.) This Solicitation Number MDA410-97-R-0004 is issued as a request for proposal. (iii.) This solicitation document and incoporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #90-45 final rule effective 1/197. (1) The standard industrial classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 7011. (2.) The small business size standard is $5,000,000. (3.) The small business size standard for a concern which submits an offer in its own name other than on a construction or service contract, but which proposes to furnish a product which it did not istsef provide is 500 employees. List of Contract Line Item Numbers: CLINs 0001, 0002, 0003: Lodging/Meals. (vi.) Description of Requirements: The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to enter into a firm fixed price contract to provide lodging and meals for 55 participants for six (6) nights, July 13 through July 18, 1997 in Fresno California, facilities must be within a 10 minute drive from Fresno Pacific College. CLIN 0001 -- Lodging -- The contractor shall provide single occupancy rooms for six nights beginning July 13 through July 18, 1997. Each room shall be free from any hazards or deficiencies that could adversely affect the personal health and safety of the occupants. CLIN 0002 -- Breakfast for 55 people July 14th through July 19th. CLIN 0003 -- Dinner for 55 people July 13 through July 18. (viii.) FAR 52.212-1, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. Addendum. 52.212, Para. (a). The following factors shall be used to evaluate offerors technical capability and price. Technical capability is approximately equal to price. (x) Offers shall include a complete copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-commercial Items, with its proposal. (xi.) FAR 52.212-4. "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items" is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition and resulting contract.
